DESTACO breaks new ground with Accelerate Vision virtual and augmented reality technology
DESTACO, a KTM Systems robot automation user, continues to push the technological boundaries of its Digital Press Shop concept with the release of the next level of its Accelerate brand.
Two years ago DESTACO Accelerate Collection offered a new family of gripper components that reduced automation tooling weights by 40% and incorporated a 'digital profile'.
Now DESTACO introduces Accelerate Vision which breaks new ground by combining this digital profile with cutting edge virtual and augmented reality technology.
KTM Systems has worked closely with DESTACO in the design and installation of robotic cells to facilitate the effective translation of 3D CAD data into these augmented reality systems for the construction of automation tooling using Accelerate Collection components. The augmented reality systems enable tooling to be built to a high degree of dimensional accuracy within a lean process.
