Press Transfer Cells

Fully automated, multi-stage, robot press transfer systems for a UK company producing over 1.5M components annually.

These systems integrated modern robot control systems with the customers existing press controls. The robots are equipped with vacuum and mechanical finger grippers and transfer products from press to press. On trim presses the scrap is removed by the robot and released on to a belt conveyor.

Following the final punch process completed parts are stacked on to a belt conveyor where over an hour of production can be accumulated.
